19th April // Reflections on the Tide

Harlech // N52.847 W-4.119

After a well timed day out of meandering down through Eryri checking in on locations Id often driven past but never ventured into, and as I had checked off the final destination from my list, I thought my day of photography had come to and end.

But a feeling was pulling me back to the viewpoint Id seen earlier but had no time to explore with the attention it needed.

On the surface the long sandy stretch of coastline looked empty and barren, save for the mountain backdrop which in this current state of mind wasn’t interesting me as it usually would.

But as I made my way down the twisting coastal path to the beach below my attention was caught. It seemed the more I looked down, the more I could see, and the more I could see, the more excited I became, running up and down the beach capturing the minute details until the light slowly faded away.
